Thanks to your incredible generosity, this year’s Secret Santa program was a tremendous success! This year we were able to fulfill 356 wish lists, which equals to approximately over $64,080 in donations! We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who participated in this year’s initiative by being matched with a wish list, donating through our Amazon Wish List, hosting a giving tree, or donating monetarily. We’d like to take a moment to recognize a few companies/agencies for your amazing contributions:

How does Secret Santa work?

Each year, kiddos in our programs (with the help of our staff) fill out a wish list of what they’d like to receive this holiday season. The list consists of their interests, hobbies, clothing sizes, favorite color, favorite movie and more. We then assign a number to keep track and find a community match to this wish list. Once shopping is done and gifts are dropped off at Helix, we coordinate with program staff to distribute gifts to be given to the child.

How Can I Participate in Next Year’s Secret Santa?

There are different ways you as an individual, part of your organization, your family, etc can participate!

  1. Get Matched to a Wish List
    • Request a wish list (please let us know any age or gender preferences), shop, and deliver the unwrapped gifts to Helix Human Services.
  2. Display a Giving Tree
    • Is your company, agency, or school interested in participating? Consider hosting a toy drive or a giving tree. This is a great way to invite others to give back to our communities. HHS will provide you with a number of gift tags. Each tag represents one child/youth’s wish. Your students, participants, staff and or clients will grab one tag (or a few) and shop for the item(s). They will return the item(s), unwrapped, with the tag taped to the gift, and place it under the tree or designated area.
  3. Donate Money or Gift Cards
    • Don’t have time to shop? We can do the shopping for you! Gift cards and monetary donations are welcome. Some teens request gift cards on their wish list.
  4. Shop on Amazon
    • Each year we build an Amazon Wish List, each item representing one wish from a wish list. Gifts get delivered directly to Helix Human Services.
