Helix Human Services’ Secret Santa program is back for another year of impactful gift-giving!
How does Secret Santa work?
Each year, kiddos in our programs (with the help of our staff) fill out a wish list of what they’d like to receive this holiday season. The list consists of their interests, hobbies, clothing sizes, favorite color, favorite movie and more. We then assign a number to keep track and find a community match to this wish list. This is where you come in! Once shopping is done and gifts are dropped off at Helix, we coordinate with program staff to distribute gifts to be given to the kiddo.
In 2023 we were able to fulfill 416 wish lists, which equals to approximately over $49,900 in donations! We hope to make this year’s Secret Santa even more impactful!
How Can I Participate in Secret Santa?
There are different ways you as an individual, part of your organization, your family, etc can participate!
- Get Matched to a Wish List
- Request a wish list (please let us know any age or gender preferences), shop, and deliver the unwrapped gifts to Helix Human Services.
- Display a Giving Tree
- Is your company, agency, or school interested in participating? Consider hosting a toy drive or a giving tree. This is a great way to invite others to give back to our communities. HHS will provide you with a number of gift tags. Each tag represents one child/youth’s wish. Your students, participants, staff and or clients will grab one tag (or a few) and shop for the item(s). They will return the item(s), unwrapped, with the tag taped to the gift, and place it under the tree or designated area. HHS will arrange a pick up if necessary by December 16, 2024.
- Donate Money or Gift Cards
- Don’t have time to shop? We can do the shopping for you! Gift cards and monetary donations are welcome. Some teens request gift cards on their wish list.
- Shop on Amazon
- Each year we build an Amazon Wish List, each item representing one wish from a wish list. Gifts get delivered directly to Helix Human Services. Shop here

Anything else to know?
A few important things to note to help us keep all the gifts organized!
- Please keep gifts unwrapped
- It is helpful to keep multiple items of one wish list together in a tote or reusable grocery bag
- Clearly label the bag or tote with the wish list number assigned
- Gifts are due to Helix Human Services administrative offices located at 60 Sherman St, Springfield, MA by December 16, 2024. If you cannot drop-off, we can arrange a pickup prior to the deadline.
- Drop-off hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday
