Family Reunification Support Program (FRSP)

The Family Reunification Support Program (FRSP) supports the Department of Children and Families (DCF) involved families whose children are not currently living at home but who are expected to return home within six months. FRSP works closely with DCF to meet families’ goals.

Each family is assigned a Helix Family Support Worker who meets weekly, one-on-one with parent(s). These meetings focus on parent education that strengthens parent/child relationships including:

  • Building on families’ strengths and resources
  • Providing a safe, healthy environment
  • Enhancing parenting skills
  • Supportive counseling
  • Accessing community resources
  • Advocacy

Family Support Workers also supervise parent/child visitations. We make every effort to create a comfortable atmosphere conducive to positive family time.

Services include transportation of children to and from visits and all DCF required documentation regarding parent/child interactions.
