Students and Staff Dazzle in Mill Pond School Talent Show

Friday February 13, students and staff at Mill Pond School Springfield brought their best skills to the talent show! From drawing, to breakdancing, to a light saber battle – the students showcased their hobbies and hidden talents in the “Be in the Spotlight” talent show.

Special acts included

  • Mrs. Deliefde doing live Etch A Sketch drawing of the school’s turtle mascot
  • Elementary student Perseus showing off his soccer ball juggling skills
  • Mr. Cooney with a breakdancing routine
  • Elementary student Dan showing his incredible flexibility act in rightfully names “The Flexible Dan!” segment.
  • Elementary student Noah live drawing characters from memory
  • Mr. Justin rocking his bass guitar
  • Elementary student Xzander teamed up with high schooler Jovan for a light saber battle complete with jedi robes
  • Middle schooler Oliver and Ms. Gabby performed “One Last Time” from the musical Hamilton
  • various art showcases from all grades

Congratulations to all and especially to: 3rd place winners Jovan and Xzander, 2nd place winner Oliver, and 1st place winner Noah!

About Mill Pond School

The Mill Pond Schools located in Springfield and Richmond, MA, are therapeutic schools serving students—kindergarten through age 22—who have social-emotional and/or behavioral challenges, a learning disability, or who may have a diagnosis of high-functioning Autism. Our goal is to assist students in developing the skills necessary to successfully return to a less-restrictive environment, and, ultimately, to their previous school setting. Funds raised will go towards improving the school building, playground, and basketball court, as well as expanding extracurricular offerings for students.
