FAMS program serves:
- Transitional youth, ages 16 to 22: Goals are to develop and enhance life skills, foster independent living, and maintain their physical and mental health.
- Children, ages 12 to 16 years of age: Goals are to improve social engagement with peers, learn new life skills, and succeed at home and in the community.
We help with educational placement and support; we work with parents to help them improve their parenting skills; and we engage these families in positive recreational and leisure activities. We also help these families find other resources they need, such as medical and dental, housing, and more.
Through FAMS, we strive to provide:
- A safe home environment with increased stability
- Improved caretaker/child relationships
- Increased community awareness and involvement
- Stronger vocational skills and employability
- Consistent engagement with clinical services
