Parent Education Program

The Parent Education Program supports families who have been referred by the Department of Children and Families (DCF) and whose children are at risk of abuse and neglect. It’s our job to stabilize the family and prevent out-of-home placement for the children.

Helix Human Services Parent Educators work with these families in their homes to identify risks, understand DCF’s and each family’s goals, and build on their inherent strengths to provide a stable, nurturing home for their children.

This is not a parenting class or parent aid service. The Parent Education Program provides information, resources, and support to help families keep their children safe and at home.
