2026 Saluting the Caring Force

Congratulations to Ms. Theresa Michaelian, outstanding Special Education Teacher at Mill Pond School, Springfield! Ms. T has been featured in the “2026 Saluting the Caring Force”, a feature in The Provider, a newspaper of the Providers’ Council.

For over six years, she has been a dedicated member of our Springfield campus, providing highly individualized instruction to students with complex emotional, behavioral, and learning needs. In her role, she thoughtfully designs lesson plans aligned to each student’s unique abilities and IEP goals, while consistently implementing evidence-based instructional strategies and behavior supports that help students succeed both academically and emotionally.

Ms. T truly exemplifies Helix’s collaborative spirit. She works closely with clinicians, behavioral interventionists, instructional aides, and families to ensure every student receives the comprehensive support they need to thrive in the classroom and beyond. Her teamwork, professionalism, and commitment to student-centered practice reflect the very best of who we are as an organization.

Ms. T is an exceptional teacher whose dedication, patience, and genuine care for her students make a lasting impact every single day. She creates a classroom environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and inspired to reach their full potential. Our students are truly fortunate to have her, and so are we at Helix Human Services.

We are incredibly proud of Ms. T and could not think of a more deserving candidate for this recognition. Congratulations on this well-earned honor!
